In the article are presented the results of the theoretical researching ZMZ- 4063 engine during the work on petrol, generator gas and generator gas with application of supercharger. The researched object is ZMZ-4063 engine. The aim of the work is presentation the results of researching the possibility of adaptation the existent model of ZMZ-4063 engine for working on generator gas without loss the engine power and velocity. The research method is the calculation analysis of engine output parameters during their working on different fuels. Today generator gas is considered as a progressive type of alternative fuel. However gas-producing cars which were mass-produced in 20 - 60 ХХ of century on many technical and operating indicators gave in the base petrol cars. The number of researchers have noted the sharp decrease in the vehicle engine power (sometimes up to 50%) at it’s re-equipment from petrol on generator fuel. As a result there was worsening the vehicle operating characteristics. This is due to lower heat value of mixture the air-gas and cylinder filling coefficient. This problem can be decided by increasing the degree of compression and applying a supercharger. By this way can be reached the increasing liter power of engine, which is working on generator gas to the level of work on petrol power. By a thermal calculation were received the effective and indicatory indexes of ZMZ-4063 engine during it’s work on traditional fuel - petrol and alternative - generator gas. The comparison of these indexes shows that when the engine operates using an alternative fuel with application the supercharge it is possible to get the same liter engine power, as well as on petrol. The obtained results will be used in further experimental and theoretical researches. Expected hypothesis about development the object of researching - search and operate technical measures and ways to improve fuel efficiency and minimize time of overclocking car - model "Gazelle" by optimization a number of transmission gear-ratios.
