Проведено аналітичний огляд ринку аудиторських послуг України за 2013–2017 рр., що показав згортання активності суб’єктів аудиторської діяльності. Проведено порівняльний аналіз процесу сертифікації аудиторів в Україні, Білорусі, Болгарії, Литві, Польщі, Словаччині та США. Визначено, що в Україні з жовтня 2018 р. вимоги до сертифікації аудиторів відповідають очікуванням світової аудиторської спільноти. Оновлена процедура сертифікації підвищує якість аудиторських послуг, посилює боротьбу з проявами недобросовісної конкуренції на ринку аудиту, підтверджує цінність аудиторської діяльності, унеможливлює «випадковість» отримання сертифікату аудитора та сприяє поверненню довіри світового бізнесу до аудиторів в Україні. Запропонований підхід до проведення сертифікації аудиторів в Україні, на думку авторів, створює умови для більш повного задоволення інформаційних потреб різних видів бізнесу в процесі надання аудиторських послуг

The analysis of the market of audit services of Ukraine for 2013–2020 is carried out, which showed the contraction of activity of domestic auditing entities.
In the context of the country's integration into the world economy, it is determined that it is urgent to restore public confidence in domestic audit, increase
the value of the audit opinion, improve the quality of audit services. Fundamental in this is the improvement of the requirements for certification of auditors.
A comparative analysis of the process of certification of auditors in different countries, which demonstrated the high requirements for certification of auditors
in the world. It is established that the common features are the requirements for higher education, examination procedures and the availability of practical
training. Some differences are due to the conceptual vision of the role of audit in strengthening the country's economic position in the world. In particular,
some countries require not only practical experience in the field of accounting, but also internships in audit firms, a good reputation and no criminal record.
It is determined that in Ukraine from October 2018 the requirements for auditor certification meet the expectations of the global audit community. A differentiated approach to the certification procedure is used. It is substantiated that the increase of certification requirements has brought Ukraine closer to the
implementation of priorities for the development of auditing activities, including: protection of the interests of users of financial and other economic information; meeting the internal needs of the professional market of audit services in Ukraine; ensuring recognition of the important role of the audit profession in
society; improving regulatory activities in the field of audit. A differentiated approach to the procedure for obtaining an auditor's certificate will contribute to the
deregulation of the industry, which will enhance the quality of audit services,
